Fall Tour...

This year we are checking out the Story of God.  I am pretty excited to figure out what God has been up to in history and find out what he things of me.

We have some pretty good activities this year and of course, Blizzard is on the radar.

Teen of the Week

Call up one newish kid in the group and ask him these questions:

1. What is your full name?
2. How many siblings?
3. Who makes the real money in the family?  How?
4. Mac or PC?
5. Favorite class in school?
6. Hobbies?
7. How old do you think (a leader) is?
8. Best Vacation?
9. Coolest Car?
10. How would you bring about world peace?  (buy the world a coke is the correct answer)

Who's Dat...

String a bedsheet or blanket up.  Have all the guys get behind it and take off their shoes and socks.  Girls have to guess who's feet are who's.  Then switch girls and guys.

• Keep score on a board.  That way you have all the names.

Capture the Flag!

Dudes, Capture the flag was Awesome!  Both teams won one time, so we got a tie going on.  We will settle the score in the spring!

Cookout and Kick the Can!

When I was in Jr. High, every night me and the neighborhood kids would play hide and go seek.  It was a blast.  We would play from sundown til mom blew the whistle for me to come home.

Next Wednesday we are going to play Kick the Can, Hide and go Seek, or some other seek and find game at the Nafzingers.  Don't bring anything except yourself and a friend.  And wear dark cloths!

New Kingdom Month!

This fall we are talking about God's Kingdom and what it is like.  We are going to try to build it in our youth group!

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

We have all had groups that we love to be around and in.  They all have friendly, nice, supportive people and do not have mean, sinful, spiteful people in them.   Jesus told us how to build one of these kingdoms in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7).

This week I talked to (East Peoria) Logan, Matt, Grace, Liberty, Violet (I beat her in a 5k once), Charlie, Luke, Danielle.

Cheese ball Catch

Put shaving cream on a kids face and have the rest of the team throw cheese balls at his face.  The team that gets the most stuck wins!

• 4 on a team (one with shaving cream, 3 throwing.)
• very expandable on size.
• Dodging doesn't help much.
• Messy. Best have towels ready...

Gross Night!

The kickoff this year is an activity we have been wanting to do for a long time. Sherri thought it would be great to get you guys messy.  Come prepared to:

• Colander and water balloons.
• Shaving with Cheeseballs.
• Banana, Coke, Bat (Mark's favorite)
• Egg in a clear tube (Joe's favorite)
• Jelly Jigglers throw
• Eat Worms...

Bring your friends and wear old clothes.  Gonna be a great time!

The JCFG Fall Tour Begins!

Dudes!  JCFG is back on schedule.  This year we have a new room, new games, and the same old leaders! Mark and Chris, Daryl and Sheri, and Joe are excited to get going this year.  However, we plan on you bringing the fun.  This year we have a video projector so if you have some funny videos, you might want to let Mark know.  Also, you can post stuff on this website.  

Looking forward to spending the year with the new team!

Summits Edge...

Awesome Time!

Steal the Bacon

Break kids into two equal length lines about 20 feet apart.  Number the kids off sequentially and put the "bacon" in the middle.

The leader shouts out a random number. The object of the game is to steal the bacon and get it back to your side without getting tagged.  One point is awarded for either successfully stealing the bacon OR tagging the other team who has the bacon.

• If 2 people are in the middle for a long time, call more numbers.
